Tess Buckley

As a little girl I lost my hearing and currently wear a Cochlear implant to help me hear. I communicate via American Sign Language (ASL), Exact English Sign Language and spoken English. I am currently taking my last course to complete a Bachelor Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Medical Illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
Growing up I always brought a sketch pad and pencil with me to capture a scene or image right away. The more I drew the more I became passionate about art being a way to express myself and help others understand concepts through images. Art is my culture.
Going forward I am looking for an opportunity to be in a role where I can continue to capture images and turn concepts into an art form that can be viewed to help ideas come alive and be shared with others.
